the low down

Yes..chessy title but i'm drawing kinda blank here so that's the best..

anyways, just some updates...

1. The last day of Chinese New Year which is chap goh mei just happened last thursday, so 2008 CNY is officially over. And as pure bred Malaysian, all throughout the CNY celebration; our duty of 'ngabang-ing' those that had open houses was not forgotten :) Had a good time visiting friends & families in their homes. The celebration was also a good excuse to brush up on those baking & cooking skills and it was impressive.

The selections of 'kuih-muih'

Taking a breather...Enjoying a seaside view from a hill

2. True to the CNY theme, we had a barbecue at Michelle's place. Beautiful yard, beautiful day.

The Lim clan
The extended Lim clan..vina & joy

Friends, cards & a sunny day

Around the table

some of us

Off to the beach

It's not what you think..it's just the camera in a slow shutter speed mode

Simple piece of equipment but tonnes of fun

Yes..it's as fun as it looks

The hostess delivering her impromptu speech

thanks, michelle! You were a great hostess..so, when's the next one? ;)

3. EYM food sale. The whole team came together on last saturday for the first ever EYM food sale. It was at CHC's car park overlooking the city...talk about a view!

The Dors (obviously it's not Jim Morrison) but Dorothy with her faithful assistant Dorothea

The drinks stall..the best iced lemon tea ever. If Jasper ever decide to run an all iced lemon tea selling shop, we will hog that place

Question: How many ppl does it take to start a barbecue pit fire?

The truck that sparked a funny conversation

Person 1: eehh..Nescafe truck. Coffee?
Person 2: Yup
Person 1: This must be Celine's arrangement.
Person 2: Huh?
Person 1: Well, you're the one who's into it.
Celine: *Grins widely* Kenaina, am i really that predictable?
Kenaina: *Rolls eyes slightly* eerrr...YEEESSSS!

Really?!
*Note to self: work harder on building an air of mystery*
then
*drop down to the floor rolling in laughter at the thought*

Rachel..enjoying the chicken

3. Cell group Sunday. The Church held it's first ever cell group sunday this weekend. What a treat to see everyone hundle up in their cells and coming together to greet everyone & as well as preparing a magnificient spread of lunch. It was also Dorothea's birthday so we went out for a pizza!

If you are in a CG, you get to be labelled :)

Tif & i

btw the new ride, which was provided quite timely. There's a story that involves a laying of hands & a prayer..but that's for next time

The birthday girl (centre)

Yum..

To dor, happy 11th birthday!

So, that's what has been happening so far.

Right now..in the midst of planning & praying for our Sarikei trip which will take place in 2 weeks time..will update on that very soon..

In the mean time, take care ppl!

Go with God!
